Key levels

LVL 0
The Lobby

Where everyone starts. Endless yellow office, soggy carpet, fluorescent lights that won't stop buzzing. Nothing hunts you hard here yet, but the Bacteria drifts the halls and your sanity quietly drains the longer you wander.

LVL 1
The Habitable Zone

The first real level. A huge warehouse and parking sprawl where sanity starts draining for real and the Skin-Stealer turns up, copying other survivors to get close. The way out is a color-locked elevator.

LVL 5
Terror Hotel

A rotting multi-floor hotel of lobbies, guest rooms, a mailroom and a boiler room. Deathmoths infest it, a Skin-Stealer and a Hound stalk it, and the room you need is locked with a code the game rerolls every run.

LVL Fun
Level Fun =)

A party room gone wrong. Streamers, confetti, primary colors everywhere, and Partygoers packed in among all of it. One of the levels nobody forgets.

LVL 37
The Poolrooms

The famous Poolrooms. Bright white and tan tiles, shallow turquoise water, sunlight from nowhere. After the funhouse it feels like a held breath, and it fully restores your sanity. The catch is which rooms you're allowed to walk into.

LVL 6
Lights Out

A pitch-black maze where you can't see your own hands. The game hands you a LiDAR scanner that paints dots of light on whatever it hits, and that's the only way through. A blind Wretch patrols the first half.

LVL 188
Level 188

The striking 'beautiful Backrooms' level: a grey hotel modeled on the real Heathrow Holiday Inn, wrapped around a courtyard of 114 windows. It's also one of the only levels in the game with a fixed numeric code, which makes it a favorite to look up.

LVL 3999
The True Ending

An infinite retro arcade with an elevator and a big M.E.G. machine at its heart. This is the end-game stretch and the route to the true ending, so its code is one of the most searched in the whole game.
