The first real level. A huge warehouse and parking sprawl where sanity starts draining for real and the Skin-Stealer turns up, copying other survivors to get close. The way out is a color-locked elevator.
The Habitable Zone code
The Level 1 lock is a color code, not a number, and it's randomized every run, so there's no fixed sequence to memorize. Open the red-door room, read the four cars (for example 1 blue, 2 red, 1 green) and press the colored buttons to match. Restart the level and it reshuffles.
How to escape The Habitable Zone
Find the red door that leads to a room with four parked cars, each a different color. The elevator's lock isn't a number pad, it's colored buttons. Press the buttons to match the cars' colors and counts, then ride it up. Later floors add four keys you turn together and a 'stay in the light' run from a Smiler.
Clear it and you move on to The Hub.
The Habitable Zone step by step
- Find the red door. It opens onto a room with four parked cars. The cars are the whole puzzle, so go there first.
- Read the four cars: their colours and how many of each.Say one blue, two red, one green.
- Match the elevator's coloured buttons to the carsIt's colours, not numbers. Press them to match the colours and the counts.
- Nothing to memorise: it reshuffles every run.Read the cars again each time and you're fine.
Entities on this level
A pale, faceless thing that copies other survivors to get close. In co-op it'll wear a teammate's face and voice, so the real danger is trusting the wrong 'friend'.
Survive: Go by how it acts, not how it looks. A Skin-Stealer moves wrong, repeats voice lines, and won't do the stuff a real player does. Keep everyone in sight, call your positions out loud, and don't follow a 'teammate' who's leading you off alone.
Two glowing eyes and a wide grin hanging in the dark. Smilers live in the unlit stretches and rush you if you sit in shadow too long.
Survive: Stay in the light. They won't step into a lit area, so hop between light sources and never stop somewhere dark. If one shows up, back toward the nearest light instead of running blind. A flashlight to the face puts it down on some levels.
