A rotted-out version of Level 0, moldy carpet, missing ceiling tiles, and air so thick with bacteria that your breathing meter drains the whole time you're inside. It's the first leg of the route to the Empty City ending, reached from The Bunker through the ID-card door, and the one alternate-ending level where the clock is really working against you.
How to escape Overgrowth
Move fast, because the bacteria never stops eating your oxygen. Pull the lever near the entrance to open the three gates, then search the overgrown rooms for four unconscious Wanderers slumped on the floor. Drag or push each one onto a Death Slide and send them down it, the body trips the slide's killing fan and disarms it. Only ride a slide after you've cleared it that way; an armed slide funnels you straight into the blades. Watch the floor on your runs, too: there's a Bone Thief pit you can drop into if you sprint in blind. With all four slides disarmed, take any one of them down and it drops you into The Grassrooms. On Nightmare the Wanderers sit further apart, so scout your loop before the air gets too low.
Clear it and you move on to The Grassrooms.
Entities on this level
A roaming chaser that drifts the abandoned lobbies and the rundown Level 0. It patrols rather than hunts, but it'll commit once it spots you.
Survive: Watch its patrol and time your moves between the levers or objectives. If it locks on, duck into a side room or vent and wait it out rather than sprinting in a straight line.
The lurker of the Red Rooms in Level 0.2. It guards the stretch you have to cross once the timed gate drops.
Survive: Finish the five electricity boxes first, then pull the lever and commit. Once the gate's timer starts you sprint for the elevator and don't stop to look back.
