This is an unofficial, fan-made guide to Escape the Backrooms. The aim is narrow and practical: when you're stuck mid-run looking for an elevator code or a way past a level, you should be able to land here and get the answer in a few seconds, not scroll through a wall of lore.

Every level page lists the code, the entities you'll run into, and how to get out. The All Codes page puts every code in one table for when you just need the number.

This is an independently run fan project, we're not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the game's developer. The guides are compiled and written from publicly documented game information (community wikis, patch notes, and the official Steam pages) and cross-checked against each game update, with editing and fact-checking done by the site's maintainer, lhb. We use AI tools to help draft and organize the pages, and a human reviews the codes and routes before they go live. We don't host the game, its files, or any of its art and audio, and all illustrations on the site are original.

Codes and routes change when the game is patched, so if something looks off, check the level page notes or get in touch, we read corrections and fix them.
